Hello everyone! Today, I’m taking you on a visual tour of Italy, looking at its famous monuments from a different angle - above. We’ll see the stunning architecture of Italy’s most iconic sites from rooftops and high viewpoints.

Arch of Titus


We start in Rome at the Arch of Titus. Looking up at it provides a unique view of its impressive design and structure, showcasing the magnificence of this 1st-century monument.

Interior of the Pantheon


Our next stop is inside the Pantheon. Its dome, which is the largest unreinforced concrete dome in the world since 125 AD, is an incredible feat of ancient engineering.

Chiesa di Sant'Ignazio di Loyola


Moving on to the Chiesa di Sant’Ignazio di Loyola, we see a stunning trompe-l’oeil ceiling artwork by Andrea Pozzo. It’s designed to draw the viewer’s eye upwards, creating an illusion of depth and space.

San Carlo al Corso


Inside San Carlo al Corso is another architectural wonder. Its dome, the second largest in Rome after the Pantheon, provides a breathtaking view into a beautifully designed interior.

Colosseum


Next, we visit the famous Colosseum. Looking up at its huge arches gives a unique perspective on this ancient amphitheater, bringing to mind its rich history.

Piazzale Garibaldi


From Piazzale Garibaldi, we get a wide view of Rome, including the Colosseum. This high vantage point offers a panoramic look at the city’s historic landscape.

Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II


We end our tour in Milan at the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II. Looking up, we see light coming through its glass dome, lighting up the detailed designs and lively atmosphere of this historic gallery.
